Exploding Waves

November 29, 2018

Alluvial flotsam in the slick

Like pent up ocean waves

rush exploding toward

safety on the shore;

I write words;

expose my soul;

find release in

scattered poetic verse.

Crammed full with new tasks

Filled with fathoms of frustration

Heaving with heavy responsibility

Hardened from shells of stress

Overcome with anxiety

Isolated by twist of fate

Undermined by loss

Exhausted by lack of sleep

I sing my own songs;

unrestricted roll out

find release on paper shore.

Confusing waves roll

with the punches of life

and strive for resolution.

Waves of depression

drift away and

refresh my day.

Exploding waves

find refuge on the shore

tho’ they fall like

flotsam on the beach;

others may find them

and for them reach.
