Kristen Sachs is a wife and mom living in Southern California. In July 2013, she became the primary spouse caregiver to her husband, Jeff, when he suffered a spinal cord injury in a diving accident. Jeff is now a ventilator-dependant quadriplegic, and together with their young daughter, they are learning to live a new life. Kristen’s blog, A New Dawn for Us, chronicles their struggles and triumphs on this journey of caregiving.
